The reason was simple.The Indian rural market with its vast size and demand base offered a huge opportunity that companies could not afford to ignore. And enterprises involved in selling to rural markets faced the perennial problem of lack of dependable information, especially at the grass root levels.This is where we saw the need to bridge this gap between the rural and urban set up.
We came up with the idea of understanding field activities to get authentic data that could be relayed back to the Corporate office through the use of technology.What started with a proof of concept on an HP tablet is today a global technology company that provides real time customer intelligence solutions across Agri, Pharma, Consumer Packaged Goods and Healthcare sectors. Our team of young IT experts led by Ajay Kumar, conducted a lot of field research to understand which devices would work best to store data and transfer information digitally, helping connect the field force to the Corporate Office.
We started with our flagship product – Agro FMS, a GIS-based comprehensive solution for Seed Enterprises and today we offer a host of products that cater to the needs of customers across domains. While many things have changed since 2004, a time when connectivity and easy modes of communication were a distant dream, even today, we have managed to stay ahead of the game by innovatively integrating next-generation technologies to deliver last-mile customer contact solutions.
